When we see people in relationships we can deduce that they are trying to obtain something from the other person. We can also make the assumption that they will do anything to get what they want. Sometimes it is easy to see where one party is coming from and the other is not. But, in the case of relationships, we can never know if either party is trying to obtain something or if they are simply happy without ulterior motives.

The truth is that motives are often hidden and we cannot always know what is going on in a relationship. Therefore, we cannot judge whether someone is being naive or not because we cannot be sure of their motives.
